Statement of Faith
Our faith is the foundation of every life we touch. These are the truths we build upon as we serve, heal, and restore.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
These foundational beliefs guide every decision, program, and act of service at Morrell Ministries.
One God, Three Persons
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This triune God is the foundation of everything we do — every program, every prayer, every act of service flows from His perfect nature.
Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 5:48 · Matthew 28:19 · Revelation 4:11
Jesus Christ, Our Redeemer
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man — sent by the Father, born of the Virgin Mary, and crucified as a sacrifice for all humanity. Through His shed blood, all who believe are made righteous. He rose from the dead, now intercedes for us as our great High Priest, and will return to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace. His redemptive work is the model for our ministry of restoration.
Philippians 2:6-11 · Romans 5:9 · 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 · Hebrews 8:1 · Isaiah 9:6-7
The Holy Spirit, Our Guide
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person who dwells in every believer — guiding, teaching, gifting, and empowering us for service. He produces spiritual fruit in our lives and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Our counseling, mentorship, and pastoral programs are grounded in the Spirit's transformative power.
John 14:16-18 · John 16:7-13 · Acts 1:8 · 1 Corinthians 12:4,11 · Galatians 5:22-23
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God — a complete revelation of His will for our salvation. Scripture is the only rule for Christian faith and practice, and it forms the curriculum of our Biblical Institute and the foundation of every teaching we offer.
2 Peter 1:20-21 · 2 Timothy 3:15-17
The Fall of Humanity
We believe humanity, created in God's image, fell through disobedience — incurring both physical and spiritual death. Every person is born with a sinful nature, separated from the life of God, and can only be saved through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. This truth drives our compassion for the broken and our commitment to meeting people in their deepest need.
Genesis 1:27 · Romans 5:12 · Romans 6:23 · Ephesians 4:18 · Romans 3:25
Salvation Through Grace
We believe salvation is provided through Jesus Christ for all people. Those who repent and believe are justified by grace through faith, born again by the Holy Spirit, delivered from darkness, transferred into God's Kingdom, granted eternal life, and adopted as His children. This message of hope and new beginnings is the heartbeat of our re-entry programs and pastoral care.
1 John 2:2 · Romans 3:21-24 · Titus 3:4-7 · Colossians 1:13 · Romans 8:14-16 · John 1:12
Spirit-Filled Living
We believe it is God's will for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit and sanctified wholly — separated from sin, fully dedicated to God's will, and empowered for holy living and effective service. This is both an immediate experience and a lifelong journey. Our mentorship and discipleship programs walk alongside individuals in this transformative process.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 · Acts 1:8 · Romans 6:1-14
Healing & Wholeness
We believe God provides for the healing of the whole person — spirit, soul, and body — through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are privileges for the Church today. This conviction undergirds our counseling ministries, wellness programs, and the holistic care we provide at Sadie's Place.
Isaiah 53:4-5 · Matthew 8:16-17 · James 5:13-16 · Acts 4:30
The Church, Christ's Body
We believe the Church consists of all who are redeemed through Christ's blood and born again by the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of His Body, and He has commissioned us to go into all the world making disciples. The local church is called to love, worship, pray, proclaim the gospel through word and deed, and observe Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Morrell Ministries exists as an extension of this calling — serving as the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
Ephesians 1:22-23 · Colossians 1:18 · Matthew 28:19-20 · Luke 4:18-19 · Acts 2:41-47
Resurrection & Eternal Justice
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Our Lord Jesus Christ will judge with perfect justice — the unrepentant raised to eternal separation from God, and repentant believers raised to the unending joy of eternal life with Him. This eternal perspective fuels our urgency to share the gospel and serve the vulnerable while there is still time.
Acts 24:15 · John 5:28-30 · Revelation 20:15 · John 6:40 · Psalm 16:11 · Revelation 21:1-4
The Return of Christ
We believe the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent, personal, visible, and premillennial. This blessed hope is not a distant doctrine — it is a present motivation that inspires us to live holy lives and serve faithfully every single day. Until He returns, we press forward in our mission to love, serve, and transform.
Hebrews 10:37 · Luke 21:27 · Titus 2:11-14
